Notes
Two-shell subframe of one-side galvanised steel sheet carrying the lower links and the engine and gearbox mount consoles; rubber-mounted to the body (Audi SSP 161 p.33). Workshop manual (ABZ): subframe bolts 150 Nm + 90 deg (always renew), guide and track control links to the subframe 90 Nm + 90 deg, support plates 25 Nm, engine-mount socket bolts 40 Nm, gearbox-mount bolts 40 Nm; tighten the link bolts with the car on its wheels.
